Our History
Management Outsourcing LLC is the second company formed by the owners, Kent Barnett and John Stockman. From 1997 to 2000, together they founded and ran Project Resources Incorporated, a pioneering project management consulting and outsourcing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
During its life, Project Resources attracted customers that were facing technology and business project management challenges in need of straightforward solutions. From projects mandated by regulations to critical technology implementations, these organizations turned to Project Resources for the experience, insight and simplicity they needed to succeed.
In testament to its success, Project Resources was acquired by ESI International in January 2000 and its staff joined ESI to continue their work backed by the resources and leadership of that company. Barnett and Stockman joined ESI International as Vice-Presidents of Consulting Services for the balance of the year 2000.
Late in the year 2000, Kent Barnett and John Stockman once again saw a need and moved quickly to create an organization to address it. They founded Management Outsourcing LLC with the goal of providing broad-based services and solutions to every industry by focusing on key challenges including Project Management, Business Strategy, Leadership, Technology and Governance.
In 2001, they launched a new combined service and solution called Project Playbook® that brought a simple, streamlined approach to business and technology project management consulting. Focusing on critical communications channels and management targeting, Project Playbook® has been instrumental in the success of numerous clients.
Reaching beyond project management, Management Outsourcing has successfully launched services supporting client’s needs in key disciplines that have since emerged as the greatest challenges to organizations in the 21st century.
As we continue to grow, we learn with our clients and return our knowledge to them in the form of value based services and solutions that enable flexible response to new challenges and a solid foundation for organizational growth.
